This evening, Representative John James (MI-10) held his sixth teletown hall, this time focused on veterans’ issues. Rep. James was joined by Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Bost of Illinois.
More than 12,600 veterans from Michigan’s Tenth District joined the call. Questions ranged from veterans' mental health to problems at the Dingell VA and beyond.
Rep. James released the following statement after the event:
“Thank you to everyone who joined tonight’s call—both for your service to this great nation and for your engagement as a citizen. As a veteran myself and the son of a veteran, I care deeply about our servicemembers and keeping our promise to those who have sacrificed for our nation,” said James. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to share about the legislation I’ve introduced to support our veterans as well as to hear directly from those who have worn the uniform about how I can better serve them.”
