Reps. John James, Debbie Dingell Congratulate University of Michigan Football with Congressional Resolution

Following the Michigan Wolverines’ National Championship victory over the Washington Huskies, Representatives John James (MI-10) and Debbie Dingell (MI-06) led a resolution with the entire Michigan congressional delegation to recognize the team’s success.

Rep. James issued the following statement regarding the resolution:

“Go Blue and go Team 144. The 2023-2024 University of Michigan football team is the greatest team in college football history,” James said. “Michigan fans know ‘Those who stay will be champions,’ and the seniors who chose to return for their final year of eligibility embraced it. Their commitment and dedication paid off; they got the job done. Congratulations to these amazing young men. You make us proud.”

Rep. Dingell also issued a statement following the resolution:

“I’ve always known the Michigan Wolverines are the best team in America, and now we have the perfect record, title, and trophy to prove it. This National Championship win is more than one game – it is the product of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. This team deserves all the success they have earned, and we couldn’t be prouder of how well they represent our great state. Hail to the Victors!”

Rep. James received his MBA from the University of Michigan. Rep. Dingell represents Ann Arbor in Congress.
