Sadlier WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative John James (MI-10) issued the following statement after meeting with Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Amir Ohana:
“I have been to Israel since the war with Hamas began. I have met with the families of the hostages being held by Hamas. And today, I was proud to have met with Speaker Ohana to reaffirm my support for America’s greatest ally in the Middle East. In the wake of the October 7th attack, the United States’ commitment to Israel’s security must continue to remain ironclad. As a member of the bipartisan House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group, I will always stand by Israel’s right to defend itself against aggression, and uphold our shared ideals of democracy and prosperity”
The House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group is comprised of 12 Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, representing a historic alliance, and is a tangible representation of America’s commitment to Israel. Rep. James is a member of this group, which creates a channel for members to directly communicate with one another, seek solutions that benefit both nations, and advance the mutual goals of Americans and Israelis alike.
