Today, Representative John James (MI-10) was named to Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Israeli Knesset. The group, which is comprised of 12 Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, represents an historic alliance and is tangible representation of America’s commitment to Israel.

Rep. James released the following statement upon the announcement:

“For 75 years, America has stood with Israel. Now, Congress has joined with our counterparts in the Knesset to underscore our friendship with America’s greatest ally in the Middle East. I’m proud to count myself among Israel’s supporters—today and always,” James said.

The group will create a channel for members to directly communicate with one another, seek solutions that benefit both nations, and advance the mutual goals of Americans and Israelis alike.
