WARREN, MI – Today, Rep. John James announced that he has secured $25.7 million in Community Project Funding for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District, as well as $48.2 million in total for the entire state of Michigan. Community Project Funding requests made by Members of Congress are allocated within their respective agency program accounts and do not raise the overall spending level of the bill.
Rep. James released the following statement upon the announcement:
“As the Congressman for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District, my priority is to serve my constituents’ priorities. My team and I have worked hard to secure funding for critical infrastructure in my district, and have secured funding for the Soo Locks, which is vital to our local economy in southeast Michigan. These grants will go toward projects important to our national security, economy, sanitation, transportation, and quality of life. I’m proud to be delivering for my district and look forward to continuing to serve its priorities,”James said.
The following amounts were secured by Rep. James:
$22,423,000 for a new Soo Lock in Sault Ste. Marie
$500,000 for Clinton River Disposal Facility for the USACE
$1,755,303 for Sewer Separation of the St. Clair Shores Martin Drain
$1,120,000 for South River Multi-Use Path
$7,400,000 for Clinton River Road Corridor Improvement
$4,000,000 for Clinton Township Pilot Sanitary Sewer Lead Program
$3,500,000 for Cherry Street Mall Project
$1,000,000 for City of Warren ADA Compliance
$1,500,000 for Activities Center and Site Improvements
$2,000,000 for Macomb Combined Sewer Overflow Elimination Project
$3,000,000 for Next-Gen Electrification Testing and Standard Facility
